Easter Greetings from the Pastor
Dear Parishioners and Friends,

On behalf of our whole staff, I extend a warm welcome to join us for the celebration of the Sacred Triduum, the special three day celebration of the life, death and resurrection of Christ.
Holy Thursday: March 20th at 7:30 p.m., Mass of the Lord's Supper, followed by the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Daily Chapel.  The chapel will be open for adoration through the night until 11:45 a.m. on Good Friday.  This year we will begin the Holy Thursday celebration at 5:30 p.m. with a finger food potluck supper (details in the bulletin). The liturgy will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the church with the chairs arranged as on an ordinary Sunday (not around tables as in the past).  We hope you can join us for the potluck, but if not, please come for the liturgy at 7:30 p.m.

Good Friday: April 6th
(1) Celebration of the Passion of the Lord, at 12 noon;
(2) Ecumenical Good Friday Service from 2-3 p.m. in our church, sponsored by the West Toledo Cluster.  Readings from the four Gospel Passion Accounts, brief reflections, prayers and Veneration of the Cross; and
(3) "Vespers - Good Friday Evening Prayer" at CCUP at 7:30 p.m.  Join the Contemporary Music Group for an evening of new original music, prayer and reflection based on the Good Friday Evening Prayer Service.

Holy Saturday: Easter Vigil, March 22nd Mass at 8 p.m. We have six catechumens being baptized and over 17 persons being confirmed at the Vigil.  We are hoping that a good number of our parishioners will attend the Easter Vigil.  It is a good way to support our catechumens and candidates and to experience the power of this richly symbolic liturgy.  In making your plans, we anticipate the Vigil lasting a little less than 3 hours.

Easter Sunday: March 23rd Mass at 11 a.m.  We anticipate it will be very crowded.  You might want to arrive early or decide to attend the Easter Vigil Saturday evening.

Let us pray together that the risen Lord will bless us, our loved ones and our parish.

Sincerely,

Fr. James Bacik, Pastor
