Lectors are called to proclaim
the Word of the Lord at the Eucharistic celebration. Truly,
lectors are Ministers of God's Word, as they communicate the story of
salvation history to the Christian community.
Lectors also lead the Prayer of the Faithful, our prayers of petition and thanksgiving that the Eucharistic assembly offers at the conclusion of the Liturgy of the Word. All parishioners are welcome to consider participating in this important ministry. Two training sessions are offered at the beginning of the fall semester each academic year. For more information about this ministry, please contact Pam Meseroll. |

| Although a copy of the reading you are scheduled to proclaim should be mailed to you in advance of the Mass for which you are scheduled, you may view the Scripture passage online. Visit www.usccb.org/nab and click on the date for which you are scheduled. | ||
| Workbook for Lectors | ||
| An excellent resource for preparing to proclaim the Scriptures is the annual Workbook for Lectors from Liturgy Training Publications. Copies are available in the DeBenedetti Room if you would like to review it prior to the Mass for which you are scheduled to lector, or you may purchase a personal copy by calling Reger's Church Supplies at 419-474-4740 |
